Survey Writing/Checking (See Example Below)

APEX Survey Features

  1. Every APEX survey aims to: have clear, agreed-upon objectives that will direct actionable insights in the analysis phase.
  2. Additionally, it's important to "behavioralize" questions, having respondents react to situations rather than conjecture.
  3. Keeping the survey focused is crucial; our experience shows that focused surveys yield better responses and insights.
  4. Lastly, generate "convergent validity" by utilizing more than one type of question to effectively gauge respondent attitudes and behaviors, which is essential for comprehensive data analysis.

Sample Survey - Rare Disease 1st Wave ATU Survey

This survey shows an example of a Wave 1 ATU survey for a recently-launched rare disease therapy.  Recognizing the challenges of a new therapy to gain traction, the survey blends traditional awareness, trial and utilization question batteries with new product assessment questions since the survey may be the first time that many respondents see anything about the recent launch.

The survey also attempts to incorporate a behavioral approach throughout, having respondents react to situations and scenarios rather than always have them provide a rating.

  Examples include:

1. Max-Diff exercises for treatment decision-making importance and for perceived therapy performance

2. Patient chart exercises

3. 100-point allocation exercises to indicate relative importance or preference on various topics
